(46) Hint - Don’t take the hints
Every time that you pass by the jewelry store, she wants to try on rings. She raises her voice when speaking to friends or family in reference to, “When we get married.” These are great indicators for you, if you are looking to determine whether you will receive a “Yes” were you to propose. This is not, however, an indication that you should propose, if YOU are not ready. Taking her hints will only lead to a disaster of a proposal and likely worse for the marriage.
Our hint to you: The hints that you receive are for you to know that she will be receptive of your proposals, not that you have to propose at this time.
Other than the obvious reasons above, people normally don’t put forth their best efforts when they are doing something that they don’t really want to do. Should you decide to propose simply because you believe that it is what she wants, neither of you will be pleased with the results. You may normally be the most creative and romantic person, but will find it hard to get the inspiration necessary to devise your best works. This will leave you with a “coulda, woulda, shoulda” feeling and will leave her as one of the 80% of women that are unhappy with their proposals.
So, to save everyone the agony associated with any of the above-mentioned reasons, please find a way to honestly talk to your mate and let her know that your timing is just as important as hers. You can feel free to use our article as a support for your position and let her see that you actually did some research into the proposals process. You will probably get some “brownie” points for this and it may give you some time to determine if you are on the track toward getting to a time that you will feel comfortable proposing.
