(11) Hey, it’s not just for guys anymore…
You’re at a restaurant and see a lady stand up, tell the other patrons that she has an announcement, and ask her date to marry her. Astonishing sight, but becoming a more often occurrence than in the past. Women are becoming more aggressive in all areas of life and this is also becoming more apparent in regards to marriage proposals. Ladies simply are not willing to wait for a man to get the nerve to “pop the question” and have decided to make the first move!
Before we go any further, though, while there is nothing inherently wrong with this scenario, it is a good idea to really know how your man will react to being proposed. He may be thoroughly in love with you and really want to marry you, but this can be an embarrassing moment for a man to be proposed. Therefore, if you have doubts, it may be wise to explore them or make sure that your plan does not include a public place that could exaggerate his anxieties with the situation. Men can be extremely prideful and your actions may be seen as a challenge to his manhood. Every situation and couple is different and you should search within yourself to determine whether it is right for you or if you even want to do it.
But, if you know that this is what you want and you are confident that your man will be positively receptive to your expression of love - GO FOR IT! Whether you ask of he asks, the end result is the same - you two joining your lives together in holy matrimony. If you feel that you can find a way to create a memorable and special proposal moment, you really should make it a reality. This will definitely be a story to tell everyone; the way that YOU proposed to him.
